I just don’t understand how Arlo missed this clue, he usually would have made the suggestion to “turn up the heat”.

That’s ok Arlo, I’ve missed a couple of my wife’s subliminal suggestions, fortunately she got more direct so that I understood.

Lots of folks aren’t aware of how much it actually cost to operate a house. It’s cool to own one and not having to pay rent but it’s a lot of work!

I’d think that as Arlo said “Oh!” in panel 3 he’d have a horny gleam in his eye and a lusty smile at his mouth, and totally unable to mimic the “What are you, some kind of moron?” facial expression Janice displays in panel 2.
