Many corporations, on the other hand, use imaginary numbers.

His bank does work for him? My bank just takes away my money.

That’s complex with a large imaginary term.

Does that mean he can use the money in his account irrationally?

Well this here’s a story ‘bout a man named Frank

He always deposited his checks into the bank

And then one day he was checking his account

When they called him in the office and they brought the numbers out

Well next thing you know there’s hardly any money there

They documented well how it vanished in thin air

If you asked him how it happened he’ll say “I don’t know

But it must be right ‘cause that’s what the numbers show”

    Figure, that is, calculate, mathematize

Guy did a routine where he got a letter from his bank saying his recent overdraft of a large sum was due immediate repayment or he would be dunned. He wrote back- I don’t think you’re being fair. After all, you’ve had a lot more use of my money than I have had of yours. Your truly , , ,

Not a problem. He probably got into his own irrational shape by eating too much of the two most well-known irrational numbers… PIE

What about the transaction on Juneteenth? Never mind. It’s a national holiday.

I hate balancing my account. The numbers are always so negative.

What you need Frank is called a “Balance Adjustment”. The cost varies each time you reconcile…!

Real numbers may not be rational, either.
