/// Here, The Coconut Merchant dispenses

a street drink which refreshes the senses.

    The liquorice flavor

    is something to savor,

but the price barely meets his expenses.

Included as a positive selling point in the current “Coconut Merchant” on-line advertising: “No monkeys used in our harvesting.”

This is the original artwork that was placed on Allen’s Coffee Brandy back in the thirties. The main competition for coffee brandy was between the Allen’s and Mr. Boston brands. In New England, coffee brandy lovers are adamant as to which brand is better and there were many bar room fights to settle the matter. Nowadays, people are more social but the question of which brand is better continues. In December,1977, the Mr. Boston brand launched a heavily funded Christmas campaign against Allen’s and this is where today’s expression of Allen’s Coffee Brandy being described as “Fat A$s in a Glass”. Don’t believe me Walk into any bar in New England and ask for a “Fat Ar$s in a Glass” and see what you get served…….and while sitting there enjoying your drink, I’ll try to come up with another Christmas Story.

    The coco water merchant

    Paste (including the quote marks)

"Category:1843 oil on canvas paintings in France" Wikimedia

(syntax supported by the Google, Bing, Yahoo, Ecosia and Yandex search engines) in the browser address bar (or search for it using one of those search engines) and choose the first Category: found and once there find the text string P2744, and click its link for info and links that point to more info (perhaps best viewed using the Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox browsers, which can automatically translate most webpages if necessary, though in this case, a bit too aggressive at times) about this roughly jumbo envelope size painting, including a Description (I added today; has nothing to do with coconut, online translators are sometimes too aggressive).

Again, a larger strip image is shown by (Ctrl- or right-) clicking the image in Mr. Melcher’s MASTERPIECE #3241 (December 22, 2023) blog entry, accessible by the Check out the blog! box after the last comment, and using the dropdown menu (even larger, if you trim what’s after .png from the URL). I have added a comment there pointing to info about this artist I used to point to here. Only work by her used here so far.
