/// She had hated Hélène from the start.

Always acting so prim and so smart.

Carla looks disdainfully upon Gina as it is obvious she has joined the newly founded No Easel movement. Ugh, the brazenness!!

Drawing lesson in the workshop or The Drawing Lession

    Paste (including the quote marks)

"Category:1879 oil on canvas paintings" Wikimedia

(syntax supported by the Google, Bing, Yahoo, DuckDuckGo, Ecosia, and Yandex search engines) in the browser address bar (or search for it using one of those search engines) and choose the first Category: found, and once there find the text string Fantin, and click its link for info and links that point to more info (perhaps best viewed using the Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox browsers, which can automatically translate most webpages if necessary) about this large painting.

Again, a larger strip image is shown by merely clicking the image in Mr. Melcher’s THROWBACK THURSDAY: MASTERPIECE #2203 (5/16/19) (January 3, 2024) blog entry, accessible by the Check out the blog! box after the last comment. I have added a comment there pointing to the blog entry with my comment pointing to info about this artist I used to point to here. So far, 6 works by him have been used here (8 times total, including this and a prior Throwback Thursday repeat), the May 16, 2019, strip being its first use. The July 13, 2022, strip has the prior by him.

    Some comments from 5/16/19:

Strob: “Yes, that’s all that remains of my alabastard ex-husband.”

Papared25: Twins. Alike in every way … except in looks, mannerisms, tastes, and the fact that her #$&! ginger sister had all the natural art talent in the entire family tree.

jbrobo: Let’s see ….. we’ll use this bust as a marker and plant this rhododendron right on top of him. Are you getting this all down? That’ll teach him to make fun of my art.

Egrayjames: The day Ann Heart turned her sister and said, “Nancy, let’s get rid of these paint brushes and get a couple guitars before I go crazy on you!” That comment alone became the inspiration for one of their greatest hits.

Call me Ishmael: Excited, she sprang from her bed / She’d been promised some glorious “head” / she was throbbing with lust / but the thing was a “bust” / so, sadly, she sketched it, instead.

Rev phnk ey: Little twit. Draws like Kliban if you ask me.

garcoa: Dear, I can get your head into that position – permanently.

Father was a starving artist. He left his chair to one daughter and his easel to the other. It may have been fair, but it satisfied nobody.
