I don’t think Pig gets the point of that saying…

You fail at everything that you don’t try.

That’s not to say that you should try everything. But don’t complain about not succeeding in something that you didn’t even try.

I know what’s meant and yet I also see it as a double negative. Cancelling out the double negative reads you hit all the shots you take. And that ain’t so.

And now Pig is talking to Rat, wonder how discouraged Pig wants to get.

Well, I take a lesson from the lottery instead: You can’t lose if you don’t play.

Like I told my father many years ago, “I didn’t fail Calculus! I didn’t even try !”

Love the way Pig’s ears are reversed when he’s talking to Rat.

Of course he’s discouraging. That’s how you know he’s wise.

I especially miss the vodka shots I don’t take.

Some things aren’t worth trying at all.

Lately Pig is bouncing between being brainy to being his old stupid self. Can’t tell what’s going on.

The original quote was by Walter Gretzky, the father of a journeyman hockey player of minor consequence named Wayne Gretzky. Junior was just parroting his Dad on tv. ;-)

When I want to try something new, I think about who is going to care if I don’t get it right. If the answer is myself, I go for it!
