Twig says, "But I won't get into college! Then I'll have to live with you for the rest of my life!" Maggie says, "Homeland security can prosecute you for making terroristic threats." Twig says, "So will you drive me?" Ames says, "I give up the terrorist has won."

The line I always used with my kids was “Lunch time on your 18th birthday, you’re outta here. Better have a plan!”
(I didn’t actually hold the older one to it, because he actually had a plan and was doing upgrading before college. The younger one was still in high school when he turned 18 so I didn’t feel like I could actually kick him out right then either, so he got a 6 month stay of execution. But I would have pulled the trigger on both if they weren’t in school or employed.)
