If Luann is in her second year of community college, it might be time to think of transferring to Mooney Uni, maybe living in a dorm with a campus job, meeting new people and declaring a major. She could still see all her old friends but not be so bored.
My tractor skidded off th road in to a irrigation ditch an I thought it was gonna turn over. My whole life flashed befor my eyes an I was never so bored in my whole life
Like all too-perfect, elaborate daydreams and fantastic conspiracy theories, they are mostly BS, but still with a strand of truth in them. Tara probably did go birdwatching, and maybe heard some dogs barking and people yelling off in the distance, but that’s about it. Often times, people with low self-esteem will take normal, everyday experiences, and turn them into harrowing, hair-raising stories of daring feats and drama. They do this because they are unhappy with who they are, they feel unfulfilled in their lives, they want to feel better about themselves, and want other people to think that they are a lot more interesting than they actually are. Such is the case here.
This is what happens when Tara listens to Mrs Horner’s advice on the best places to go Birdwatching! I love Tara with her crazy desire to try things. As dangerous as it may be, I wish Luann would follow her more in her adventures. Although there is always the possibility that she won’t come leaving her alone. It’s always kind of sad to see how boring Luann finds her life, but she always knows how to make a joke about it.
I can relate to this as there is actually no length that truly obsessed birders such as myself will go. Coincidentally I am about to embark on a self-guided birding trip to Thailand, and a concern I have about my first stop is the area is known to have packs of wild dogs! There I’ll be climbing 500 steps on a mountainside up to a temple which is a birding hotspot. People who think that birders are a bunch of grannies sitting around watching birds at our feeders, are about 99% mistaken.
Complaining again about being bored. Well, Luann, you did have the chance to do something that wasn’t “boring,” but you backed out of it and pretended to be a thrill-seeker instead.

Adrenaline versus boredom. Sometimes boring is good. Opposites attract here on this toon, all the better for its humorous perspective.

Does Tara really do any of these things, or does she just tell tales?

Good strip today but not loving Tara’s brown hair color her vivid red suits her much better. And I miss her short sassy pixie cut.

I thought that Tara was telling Luann about the dream she had the night before. Panel #3 zigged when I thought that it was going to zag,
