An American friend of mine who worked for the same company as I did received a year’s assignment in France at their development laboratory outside of Paris. On day he was talking to his French colleagues about differences between the two countries and someone asked him what he ate for breakfast. He said that he had different things like cereal or pastries, or sometimes he would make French toast.
“What’s that?”, his French colleagues asked, as they seemed totally confused by the description he gave them. Maybe they use a different name for it, or maybe it’s just not popular in France. Does anyone know?

I had planned to make French toast for breakfast yesterday, then remembered just as I finished mixing the water into the pancake batter.

Try waffles instead. The dino will help make you a waffle.

Yummy. I agree, freshly laid eggs are essential for tasty French Toast, now you just need some nice fresh baguette

Hey, to make an omelette, you have to break a few caveman bones for stealing your eggs!

In the Feb. 11 “Off the Mark,” a commentator said he gave up making French toast because he kept getting his tongue stuck in the toaster.
