Thought becoming another Garfield was Jimmy’s greatest fear.

I don’t know why they can’t pay him. I know he accepts Square, Zelle, Venmo, and Lasagna.

I once sold some intellectual property; the new owner promptly paved it over and made it a parking lot.

Writing “better” than Garfield isn’t really a stretch goal.

Who knows if the following is true.

I once read that Davis has a staff that does all of the drawing and quite a bit of the writing. Also, the staff is the primary manager of all the marketing.

The article also stated that the quality of the strip is no longer of paramount importance and that the strip now basically serves as a vehicle to spur sales of Garfield items.

If true, then Garfield is deeply immersed in NIL making money based on his past

Bill Keane (Family Circus) was constantly teased in Pearls Before Swine because he & Stephan Pastis were good friends.

Garfield is already rich, unless he never sees any of the money and it all goes to Paws or Disney or whoever owns the rights to Garfield now.
