I spent my early life training my brain to be a non-linear white noise machine when I put my head on a pillow at night. My wife spent her early life training her brain, apparently, to deconstruct her day, her career, her life and her marriage every time she puts her head on the pillow. She then had to learn not to start conversations more than about twelve seconds after I lay down.
