Our first cat would never go near those things. We didn’t bother trying with the later cats.

In my 75+ years having cats, the only time one did anything outside of the litter box was when he had a urinary tract infection. Indoor cats have way more pride than to soil the place where they live. Outdoors, a male cat will use whatever it takes to mark his territory.

Neighbor’s cat used an open window for access. When it came back in, guy would get up and close the window. One ‘special’ night, he got up and he stepped on something he thought was a sock. It wasn’t. The crushed mouse left a really bad stain on the wall-to-wall that was never completely eliminated.

People seem to have the wrong idea about cats. Yes, they are independent but if you care for them get to really know them they are just as loving as a dog just not as exuberant about it. Getting to know a cat is fascinating.

Yeah, and I’ll provide you with a one-way trip to the city land fill, you ungrateful piece of matted fur!

I’m not getting involved in and dog or cat fight here. Sadly, I do not own either one at this time.

My almost 2 yr old kitty deposited a disemboweled ‘toy’ mouse in one of my slippers a few weeks ago. I was touched and honored by her generosity. When I get enough stuffing, I will repair it for her.
