Moderately Confused by Jeff Stahler for February 27, 2024

No jacket required here. It hit 72 today. It’s 65 right now.

Here in Utah, we say: “If you don’t like the weather, wait ten minutes.”

Jacket up.

What, it’s April already?

Must be Wisconsin. We always say “If you don’t like the weather in Wisconsin wait 20 minutes…it’ll change.”

It’s about minus 4C in Ottawa this morning, but going up to +14 this afternoon.

Saying the weather is ‘changeable,’ is like saying the sun is a light.

It’s going to be in the high 50s today here, tomorrow too, then we get snow.

Nope, now 12 hours yes, but 30 minutes, no. The high today is predicted to be 80F today, breaking the old record and then down to 20F over night.

Going to be 75° today and 15° tomorrow morning. Gotta love being in the middle of the country.

Not sure I understand why America still uses the Fahrenheit method of measuring temperature. The Centigrade scale is more logical as everyone can relate to how cold ice is (0 degs C) and boiling water (100C). 32F is a bit more random. Today, the United States, the Bahamas, the Cayman Islands, Palau, the Federated States of Micronesia and the Marshall Islands are the only countries that exclusively use Fahrenheit temperatures. Some other nations use both systems, including Belize, the British Virgin Islands, and Bermuda.

Say what you want about the weather, it’s much more consistent than some politicians.

Coastal towns are like that. Just to go eat an outdoor breakfast, I need a choice of short sleeve and long sleeve shirt, light jacket or heavy jacket, cloth hat or “cowboy” hat and a pair of gloves, just in case. :)

I believe anywhere in the US that can be applied!
