Gender reveal parties: another excuse to get gifts.

That’s why gender reveal parties have pink/white/light blue decor…it’s the trans flag.

It’s a telling thing that the person who first thought up “gender reveal” parties bitterly regrets having done so.

Okay until that gender wants to change to a different one at a later date.

Every time I see the phrase “gender reveal party,” there’s a split second where I think it means something else entirely…

I mean, the baby from the first gender reveal party came out as trans when they grew up, so yeah, this one’s on point.

The general topics of conversation remind me that, years ago, it was revealed that Samantha is gender-fluid. I’m hoping Trudeau will get back to that eventually because I don’t think it’s a subject the strip’s focused on before.

They told my brother he was gonna have a son. However they later said that a thumb can look like something else, because he got a daughter.

I remember an old cartoon from when amniocentesis was new. The doctor knew that it was going to be a boy; that he’d be 6 feet 3 inches tall; be good at math; and be a Packers fan.

Don’t make assumptions. The sonogram can be wrong. The boy part can fail to be picked up or a shadow can be mistaken for one. Don’t decorate the room until the kid’s out of the womb.

Hopefully we all know now that gender and external genitalia are not always identical. I think Trudeau is reminding us by giving a voice to the awaited one.

Disclaimer: MY opinion (though I’m hardly alone)…while a clever rationalization for egocentricity and conspicuous consumption, this gender-reveal BS has got to be one of the stupidest things humans have EVER concocted.

friend of mine became 1st time grama last week. Nobody know the sex of the baby and when the baby was born, the parents sent text to grandparents “come meet your grandchild”, still not revealing until they met.

A few years ago my niece was expecting. She & her hubby was convinced it was a girl. They had a reveal party. Her MD had placed the gender placed in a sealed envelope. The niece took the envelope to a bakery that did gender reveal cakes.The day of the party the cake’s external decorations had baby girl & baby boy decorations. The reveal moment arrived & niece & husband cut the cake. The inner icing was blue. They were stunned but happy.

Yeah, great, like the one that started a forest fire!! That was revealing!!

They can reveal the gender the child will be assigned at birth, which is not necessarily the real gender.

When was the last time we’ve seen Alex in a career oriented situation. As a child and up through college, she seemed destined for great achievements. But since marrying Leo and having three(?) children, she’s been domesticated.

Gender reveal parties are just one way to kill a family member before that toddler eventually shoots them.

Just write, “Gender is a social construct” on the balloon.

I would have thought that gender-reveal parties would have been made illegal by now. After all, gender is supposed to be the individual’s choice and we’re told that it’s separate from biological sex or genitalia.

My daughter, whose kids are now 7 and 4, commented to me that it seemed so weird that the parents wouldn’t know beforehand whether the baby was a boy or a girl! Of course that’s the way it has been for millions of years.

By the way, the OB/GYN nurse who first listened to my son’s heartbeat when he was only a few months along told us quite confidently that he was a boy. A few years later, I was sure our daughter was going to be a boy, as I feared that my brother had used up all the odds in the family, having already had 3 girls. So, we were happily surprised with a girl for our second.

I wonder how many of the population is aware that hermaphrodites exist. They are people who have both sex organs. They are more common than some think. One study said they’re as common as those who have red hair. I’m sure many are unaware of this since it’s not generally brought up as typical conversation, but there you are. If you want to know more about the study, google it.

Well, heck, there’s thousands of genders now, right? Aren’t there? Maybe the kid will be a grzazadoop or something. It’s possible, isn’t it? Isn’t it?

The problem with gender reveal parties is that they reveal the sex of the child but never the gender. The parents won’t learn that until the child is between 3 and 7 years old.Gender is in your brain, sex is between your legs.

A child doesn’t need a gender assignment for a few years, at least. Live free, and find out later.

Geez, does this even play anywhere outside of California and New York. And by that I mean NYC & LA.
