My family has an odd habit of dying on holidays that move.My step-grandfather died on Thanksgiving. My maternal grandmother died on Easter. And my paternal grandmother died on Leap Year.I don’t do statistical analysis, but I figure that has to be an anomaly.
Why does he say “Feb 28th?” The 29th is the leap day. The one or two I know who were born then, celebrate on March 1st. They say celebrating the day before would be like celebrating a March 9th birthday on the 8th. (We’re not quite there yet!)
Our girls birthday is Thursday. In mundane years we celebrate on February 28 and March 1. When they were 13, or 3 ¼, they decided to hold the celebration from 28 February to March 1 no matter the year. Some family traditions can be fun. And expensive.

Honestly, I would love to see most peoples reaction in 2100 when they find out that it isn’t a leap year.

I once owned a Grand Cherokee that was built on February 29, 1996. It definitely had a few gremlins!

If you’re a Feb 28 baby, there’s no chance you would have been a leap day baby. If you’re a Mar 1 baby, then yeah. One in four.

I’ll let you know when I’m 138 (divisible by four!)

1 in (365×4)+1. You have to include the leap day itself.

People born in a leap year spend the extra day doing the math.

my sis was born on March 4 of a leap year. No one asks her about it. My birthday is feb 28. When people ask me, I tell them I missed by 2 years

My daughter was born on 28 February 1986. I calculated that’s 730 days from one leap day and 731 from another. Did I get the math correct?

Sorry, most people do not assume that – or even care. Another bad assumption by one of the kids.
