Such large objects falling would create one heck of a wind. In Yosemite, when a huge boulder fell off a cliff it created a wind so strong that it blew down trees.
Everyone headed toward the beach, and it looks like the bow of the S.S. Wally/Cracky just entered the sea (or is simply crashing through dimensions)…either way there’s gonna be a Hell of a wave breaking on that beach.
If you can’t hit the quick cat with two cars….chunk an ocean liner or a building or two at him. Just keep up the parkour Cracky….your moves will go down as legendary!
Maybe those items aren’t falling at all. Maybe they’re just suspended in space, and the chunk of real estate that was the Eden Project is moving through the junk. The Eden chunk is hitting the objects, causing the various contact effects. That would mean that the floating objects aren’t moving relative to each other. No way to know how fast the Eden chunk is moving. But if that ship was falling when it the ground, Wacky would be slung right off that rail to smack back down to the ground. Hey…I’m just guessing here.
Yeah, the physics of a collapsing multiverse is definitely going to be odd. Wally was on the ground in the panels previous to this, except for a leap to avoid being smashed by a car heading for the car that just missed him. So somehow he got to the handrail of the falling ocean liner a pretty far distance above the surface. Brings to mind the title of a Fredric Brown book, “What Mad Universe.”
Wally jumped into the air and latched onto that handrail, and then realizes that it isn’t something that will help. A nice touch is how his orientation with respect to the liner changes as gravity whips him around the railing. Dam fine work, Aaron Neathery!
On the up side, that ship can absorb a lot of the smaller debris. The trick will be to survive the landing. I picture it embedded nose-first like the Edmund Fitzgerald.
As far as I can figure without going back to check, the last time our crew was in the “Endtown Plane” was when they were in the Topsider facility where the Eden Project was being controlled—hidden, by the way, from other Topsiders. They are still outside the “Endtown Plane” (and everything else, perhaps), and outside of Endtown Plane time. The Fitz should still be planted in the desert inside Endtown Plane. Wally and family woke up in Eden after leaving the Fitz.
It’s a race against time and gravity, as our intrepid hero scales up Mount Titanic with nothing more than his claws hanging on to the railing, and his wit clawing against his sanity.
It’s clear that everything’s falling, crashing, but why did it all start as soon as Wally Team got out of the hole? If this is somebody ‘who’ trying to stop them, then stop them from ‘what’, and it’s a needlessly clumsy attempt of ‘how’. If you want to squash an ant you don’t throw a pinch of sand at it and hope it gets stuck. You use something broad and flat.
Looking at this again, I noticed that the ship is righting itself in each panel. If it continues this way, maybe it will be level enough stand on deck!
I’m sure that somewhere in these 82 comments someone has noted that the Royal Mail Ship Titanic had four funnels (smoke stacks). It’s one of the Queens more likely.

That ship he’s clinging to is titanic.

I wonder if that’s the transdimensional ship he started on and will end up as Captain again traveling through those other dimensions?

Ok? How did he get way up on the ship? And is the ship actually crashing or is it sinking into the land below? AND…where is everyone else??

The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down / Of the big lake they call ‘Gitche Gumee’…[/p] Oops. Wrong ship. Never mind.

It might be time to jump ship, Wacky.

Ride, Wacky, ride, upon that mystery ship; on your way to a world that others might have missed.

Even blowing up the pic to its maximum, I can’t find Wally or his location in the final panel. Maybe he’s left the deck and inside somewhere?

Does Wally have some Spidey sense?
Speaking of web slinging, where are Wally’s companions?
Did they get an even sorrier send-off than Alan did?

I’m wondering about the object in between the ship and the skyscraper. Could be a car. Could be something actually floating/flying.

So, that’s what “really” happened to the Titanic? Explains a lot.

Y’know, she could be one of the Titanic’s sister ships, the Olympic or the Britannic…
