Poor old Elvis. Guess he will as dignified as he possibly can be stuck under that bureau.

I must be “dignified” too. I suddenly find myself solid again mid-transformation all the time! Except I tend to end up bent over in all the wrong places!

Nothing wrong with being both dignified AND old, Elvis. Pretty sure very few can manage to be a young, dignified pirate ballerina.

I feel for you, Elvis. Yesterday I was bent over the bathtub using the shower attachment to rinse out a watering can that had picked up a moldy smell. When I tried to raise back up, I heard a crunch in my lower back. I was stuck bent at the waist for awhile before the muscles finally relaxed enough for me to stand upright again. Fortunately, I still have some muscle relaxers left over from the last time.

    Meanwhile, Back on the Nile

Obadiah Opossum: Guys, I’d like you to meet my friend, Dooky Ferret.

Iggy: Pleased to meet you, Dooky. How do you know Obie?

Dooky: We both took classes at Punn State. I studied Ancient Languages while he studied History.

Bea: Sounds like just the person we need. How’d you like to help us translate old scrolls?

Dooky: I’d love to. I’m feeling a bit lost at the moment.

Obie: Yeah, you were about to tell me about that. What happened to your hat?

Dooky: Well, a few of my friends were on the oPun road coming to Egypt from Afar. I tried to take a shortcut, and ended up getting lost. Then a sandstorm came up. I took refuge here, but lost my hat in the storm.

Bea: Not to worry. Our Artisans can make you any kind of hat you like. And Louie-Nour can tell you what’s cool.

Dook: That sounds great, guys. But I’m kinda worried about my friends.

    Iggy: We’ll find out.

    Enter Agnes-Ata

Agnes-Ata: Hey guys. I’ve come to tell you Thomios is having ham and bacon for dinner tonight. Mandy and Lynn are coming, and we have several ferret guests.

Bea: Sounds like your friends are all safe, Dooky.

Dooky: That sounds great. But how did you know to find me here?

    Agnes: We’ll never tell!

I don’t have a good comment, but I do have a good question for the orb: If your cat was in similar situation, how would you “re-liquify” them to get them out? Will anyone come close to Georgia’s eventual solution?

I totally relate to Elvis today. Me, 40 years ago, “I can do this 5K run today in 16 minutes”. Afterwards, “that was a good run”. Me, today, “I can still do this 5K run today in 16 minutes”. Afterwards, “what just happened?”

Poor Elvis, his caboose is now bigger than his engine and his paws no longer have the youthful vigor to make up the difference. Hope the woman shows up quickly, too much stress isn’t good for a “dignified” cat.

Hello everyone! Tomorrow at 10am Pacific Time, Glenn Fleishman will be interviewing me to talk about comics, the process behind creating the strip, and his upcoming book “How Comics Were Made”! I was interviewed for this book, along with many other great cartoonists. It should be a great time! I’m not quite sure how to post the link to the interview here (apologies!!) but I have posted it to the BCN FB and Instagram, and hope to share it on Twitter and BlueSky. I hope somehow that will get to folks! We need an army of adorable BCN carrier pigeons, lol! I hope you can tune in, should be fun!

I hope I didn’t miss someone talking about March’s BCN calendar page. OZ (with bottle-brush tail) has flattened the leprechaun, who is drumming his tiny fists on the floor in anger. There is a can of green paint and a paintbrush between him and Iggy. Iggy, back toe beans showing, has been knocked backward and has three broad stripes of green paint down his face and T-shirt. Behind him is Goldie with a crooked smile, paws out aimed at Ora Zella in a “now-now, enough” expression. To the right of this scene is the leprechaun’s mother with a daffodil crown. Does anyone want to make up a story about it?
