    We would complain that we were bored even after being given a chore. Boredom does not come from inactivity, and giving us some activity doesn’t fix the boredom. Now if mom had sat down and played monopoly with us…

    I was never bored on weekends or during summer vacation when I was a kid! There were plenty of things to do, both inside and outside. The 1950’s and 1960’s were a great time to grow up.
