Boy, is it worth it get well-cushioned furniture. In the last five years I’ve gotten a good office chair, a new easy chair, and had the kitchen chairs reupholstered. A lesion I had in a certain dark place disappeared finally.
I guess car mfg’s are happy. They found a way to get rid of all their serpentine seat springs. Just cleaned out their warehouses of all the leftovers and sold ’em to the guys who manufactured what has passed for furniture in recent decades. Guess the old but very durable coil spring versions were just too complicated to deal with.
Most people don’t realize that the encour age was wiped out by the microman age, which was wiped out by the misman age each one leaving no trace of the other.
It’s hard to find good furniture these days, especially at a reasonable price. It’s all hugely overpriced, and uses that terrible “artificial leather” plastic that starts disintegrating right after you buy it.
