There was one time when the music teacher asked us all to create a piece of music as homework, that she’d play on the piano the following day. I actually put in a fair bit of effort to that one trying it out on the recorder (typical primary school kids instrument) which I thought was actually quite good. It was clear that some of them spent only a few minutes on it and just dropped notes at random on the musical manuscript paper. The din was something else when they were played.It could have been worse. She cold have asked us to play them on the violin
