Just ONCE I’d like to see a monster movie where, surprise, surprise, tanks and jets are effective. “Oh no, that giant monster is about to destroy the skyscraper!” F-16 launches Sparrow missile, blows its head off. YEAH, TAKE THAT, MONSTERS! Tyrannosaurus rampaging down the street, soldiers open up on it with machine guns — it goes down a bloody mess. Yep, that’s what would really happen.

Quick! Find two freakishly tiny women and summon the giant moth(er-a)!
