Four wheel drive really helps when the streets are icy.

Well, when you put it that way…

Ben IS retired, yes? New SUV = road trip!! Yea!!

They’re unsafe. They take too much space. They cause more deaths. Ans on, and on.

Have her write the check for the car. I think she might find it hard to do.

SUVs are great for older people as they are easier to get in and out of. That is where we are headed next year, no more sports sedan, sigh.

When SUV drivers complain that the parking spots are too small for their car, it really winds me up. That’s not the case – YOUR CAR IS TOO SODDING BIG FOR THE NORMAL PARKING SPOT. We all then have to suffer your resultant bad parking.

Actually a 4×4 is not good on ice unless you have studded tires. If all four wheels are on ice, all four try to get traction and end up spinning uncontrollably. That is why you see so many 4×4s off the road on icy highways. Those drivers think they can drive foolishly on any conditions.

Got to have something high enough to be able to see over the top of that lard-@ss Prius in front of me.

Ever since I learned that an SUV is a different shell on a pickup truck frame, I think of them as metrosexual pickup trucks.

No SUVs do not look cool. They look like unnecessary gas guzzlers! Unless you have a lot of stuff to haul around regularly or need a way to transport your kayaks, a small car is a much better choice.

They are in Canada, I’d be surprised if they don’t have some sort of all-wheel drive vehicle for the snow… but just not an SUV.

This is a role reversal, usually it’s the man who wants that sort of thing.

Get a RAV hybrid. Nice looks and great gas mileage.
