My goodness – first Wallace the Brave, then Red and Rover, and now Grand Avenue. This must be National Go Barefoot Week but nobody copied me on the memo.
I’ve never heard of anyone being stung by a bee by stepping on it until this weeks comics. We went barefoot all summer as kids except in the empty lot next door that had sandburs, get one of those spines in your foot and you knew it.

I did that playing on the lawn as a kid. Yeah, you guessed it. I stepped right on a bumble bee! Never went barefoot in the grass after THAT.

The roads and sidewalks in northern Illinois get hot enough to melt tar, so no bare feet.

Happiness is walking barefoot in the grass. Misery is finding out the hard way that it’s a cow pasture
