My favorite approach would be a system that would let me help stop the money. Am I the only person who would prefer to use an email system that scares the scamming spammers?

PoC: The pump-and-dump stock-scam spam we don’t get now. After some researchers showed it was printing money, they changed the rules, the money stopped, and so did the spam. (Not a permanent solution, sadly. The scammers are innovative and they’ve recently started a new scam involving crypto and securities… But those were a nice couple of years.)

Even Stephen King couldn’t come up with a plot as bizarre as the “explanations” we’re going to get of the Trump-shooting story. There will be so many theories, it won’t be worth paying attention to any of them. The truth may be out there, but we’ll never be able to discern it from all the B.S. Funny, isn’t it? 97% of Americans want junk phone calls and emails to be easily blocked, and senders severely fined until they stop, but since we are a plutocracy and not a democracy, our bought and paid for politicians from all parties, won’t even do that for us.

It’s my suspicion that the shooter was a MAGA who felt that Trump “betrayed” his followers by disavowing Project 2025 and trying to placate pro-choicers. And that’s all it is, a suspicion.

Fourteen unrelated expected delivery notices, eight rating requests for products you have not received yet, two appointment reminders for cancelled appointments, a reply to a personal e-mail sent three months previously …

Wait a minute. He was presumably aiming at Trump’s head but instead hit the top of his ear? I’d think that a shot like that would be considerably more difficult than a head shot (no pun intend). This is why I use two malware blockers. And never, ever open email from someplace I haven’t actually visited or someone who doesn’t know my real nickname.

And if you’d gotten each of them one at a time, it would’ve been no big deal, you would’ve just deleted them as they came in. It’s only when you’ve got a whole day’s worth piled up that you realize how many of them you’re getting each and every day.
