I charge my Tesla at home. Slowly. About add 150 miles in about two hours to 80%. It’s full range is 350miles or so. We went on a trip and the car’ s nav system posted superchargers on the route. We touched the ones on the screen to stop at. We super charged to 80% in about 15 minutes. Yeah, somewhere that electricity has to be made. In the Pacific Northwest it’s mostly hydro. In our case the super chargers were in shopping centers, so we had a bathroom break and a snack. One exception:A super charger at an Indian Casino. That was costly…..
I’ve got the solution…all they have to do is make all roads downhill and you can charge your battery while gravity does the work. It should be possible because, as we all know, the roads “back in the day” where all uphill.
Three hundred miles from Branson? That could be Fort Smith or Conway in Arkansas, Vinita in Oklahoma, or Lebanon, Missouri. Maybe Pittsburg, Kansas. Other than those, it’s “You can’t get there from here, you have to go somewhere else and start from there”
I’ve had two electric cars for the last 6 years now and have never charged them anyplace but my home. The only things I have ever done were wipers and tires.

Get a hitch and a diesel generator on a trailer. It’s what everyone else is doing.

Yes. But where are you going to put it? It won’t fit in the car.

I read that the public chargers are being vandalized to get the copper in the hoses.

Better to try COSTCO. Buy in bulk.

The idea of such a limited range on EVs is so “twenty years ago hype”.

We took a trip with our daughter in her Tesla. The entire trip was extreme charger anxiety.

There’s an old net-ism that’s extremely appropriate to all these shared experiences:
YMMV

Not much difference, your trading gas stations for charging stations.

Elvin will look Mad Max cool with that extension cord wrapped around his torso. He must have been hungry too. Cup went bye-bye in panel 3. burp. :)
