So I heard two days ago, none yesterday it was raining.

If the fireworks are meant to simulate warfare, would it be OK if I attacked the enemy position and took out their mortar?

My neighbors didn’t seem to think so

China LOVES the Fourth of July, it’s probably when they make the most money from the U.S.

it’s been pretty quiet here so far which makes the dogs happy. with a couple of nights of rain forecast the 4th should be the only loud night

We had to put Sheela, who went nuts with the noise, down last Fall, “structural brain damage”. The two new dogs don’t seen to mind a few fireworks. Ditto the older mutts. So far so good.

Maybe they’re Canadian.

No 4th here, all the large displays have been canceled due to no funding. The home use items have all been outlawed. (hence the no funding for the large displays) It doesn’t stop the unlawful use of the home use items though.

Most in the U.S. of A. are made in Pennsylvania by the Zambelli company in Pennsylvania.

You gotta do a quality control check of the fireworks to make sure they work properly.

Here’s hoping the neighbors only burn their own house down.

Between the early birds and the morons emptying their magazines, I Hate this time of year, now. I don’t even go to the displays anymore.

Personal use of fireworks of all kinds were banned where I grew up in California, because of fire danger. Of course there were always some kids who had a bunch of basic firecrackers, and they always “got them in Mexico”, which in my mind only re-enforced the idea that they were illegal and a very bad thing to have! I think most kids actually got them in any of the local “Chinatown” areas.
