You know, mistaking a TIE Fighter for a shooting star would probably be quite accurate, because as iconic as they are, their shape wouldn’t be very ideal for transitioning into atmospheric flight in real life—I’d sooner expect them to burn up entering it than anything.
And even if they managed past that okay, those big panels they sport would only act like sails and catch any and all breezes coming their way, making it difficult to keep them on course. They might even be nigh impossible to fly entirely in windy weather.
Mandalorian was great, clone wars season 7 was great, parts of bad batch were good, obi wan was ok, Ashoka was good Acolyte was alright. Is it reliably hitting home runs? No. Is it still worth watching? Yes. Why do Star Wars fans have to hate so much? Marvel has gotten even worse and you don’t hear their fans complaining this much. I’m a devoted life long Star Wars fan. I have old collectibles, Legos, and action figures. I’ve watched all the movies dozens of times and all the series’ most more than once. I’ve always loved Star Wars and as of now I’ve got no reason to stop loving it.
For anyone curious, they’re called meteoroids when they’re in space, meteors when they burn up in the atmosphere, and meteorites if they hit the ground.

Better hope they are fighters who fear flashlights.

Watch out for the Perseids around August 11-12. One of the best meteor-showers.

This is not the answer Peter was looking for.
May the Force be with Jason.

Meteors are rocks that enter the atmosphere, they’re not meteorites until they hit the earth. What they’re probably watching is called “fireflies”.

Maybe some day, in a galaxy far, far away, “Star Wars” movies will be good again.

I’d ask what a TIE Fighter is but I might embarrass myself.

Lots of IFOs up there.
It’s almost impossible not to see something that moves relative to the stars if you look up for a few minutes.
