Even if we removed every human being from the planet, the climate is still going to change. The issue is that we do not have to give it such a helping hand. We need a two-pronged approach: abatement and adaptation.
We do have to take the measures not to push it off the cliff.
We have to plan to migrate our agriculture to accommodate the change. Orange groves in Wisconsin?
Every coastal city needs to plan how to exist when it is below sea level. Let’s look at the Nederlands. They’ve been at it for more than 100 years.
There are areas that we may have to vacate because they’ve simply become uninhabitable.
