Giving the “Doctor Who” “Daleks” the ability to fly was the worst canonical move the series ever made. Before that the occasional apparatus-assisted teleportation was fine but Daleks zooming around the sky – no thanks.
Much like the the Daleks from earlier versions of Doctor Who. Want to get away? Climb a flight of stairs or a ladder. Later versions could fly. Bummer.
Ooh, sorry, this is re-run of the dalek cartoon (published in Punch in 1981) where a group of daleks are stood at the bottom of a flight of stairs, and saying, “well, this ******* up our plan to conquer the universe”. But still funny anyway.

Daleks had that problem. Roombas need to have a face-to-face with a Dalek so they can feel the thrill of shrieking EXTERMINATE!
