We used the pecan tree behind Grandpa Huie’s smokehouse. It made bumper crops yearly. We all knew we contributed.

When I saw the shovel, I thought this is BS, when was the Spade invented. So I Googled it.Lo and behold there it was….When was the spade shovel invented?Bronze Age (ca. 3,000— 1,000 BC approx.) Recent discoveries of Bronze Age tools have actually offered further proof of ancient mining practices as well as the removal of steel from its ore. A wooden shovel— discovered at Alderley Side copper mines in Cheshire— has actually been gone back to roughly 1750 BC. You learn something everyday, I’m ready for Jeopardy.

At this time in history, the Out House had not yet been invented. Nor the Sears and Roebucks catalog.

As he is obviously past the diaper stage, shouldn’t he have a better idea of where the back of the rock is located?

Pity the poor plant. He’s not going to use the shovel as a bathroom.

Dig a hole or water the plant, doesn’t seem fair for a woman, she loses either way.
