Who needs to fill one’s house with foam when Louie exists? As I think of it, I don’t believe any comic strip—in recent times, that is—has taken the shedding of the dog and turned it into something positive. What a brilliantly charming comic, I say!

We tried this with the ocean of fur that our golden was shedding. The birds ignored it.

Better put a roof on that house if you want the insulation to work.

We had a nest on our deck that was built out of our horse’s hair.

Many years ago we had a cat that shed so profusely that my husband would take her outside to comb her. The birds would actually swoop down and grab the clumps of fur while he was still combing, and by the time he brought her back in the house there would be no evidence left in the yard.

I take fur from my lab and put it out for the birds and squirrels regularly…and I mean regularly!!!!

If you want the best results, start with the best materials.

I try with my cat’s fur, but the Birds do not take it.

Hmmmm little early for shedding methinks

But when it gets damp, it will smell like wet dog.
