Why is a Russian dog raised by aliens speaking English?

Laika was a Soviet space dog who was one of the first animals in space and the first to orbit the Earth. A stray mongrel from the streets of Moscow, she flew aboard the Sputnik 2 spacecraft, launched into low orbit on 3 November 1957. As the technology to de-orbit had not yet been developed, Laika’s survival was never expected. She died of overheating hours into the flight, on the craft’s fourth orbit. Sputnik 2 reentered Earth’s atmosphere on 14 April 1958.

As uzual, the dog is more loyal than the humans.

Maybe they did send a crew who whistled for him to come home…and learned just then how ineffective the whistle signal was in space’s vacuum.

Laika was always expected to be left up in space. Current information indicates she passed away right after liftoff, likely from the heat and stress.

Budget cuts. Over time is the first thing to go.

Now Pam’s son has someone to play with, they both have something in common, they wear helmets.

Oh Laika, so trusting. You were trained by the same people that developed “the anti-tank dog” program, weren’t you.

I wonder how she compares to the version in “Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3.”
