I don’t understand arachnophobia. I’ve had friends, grown men, almost become hysterical over a spider. Granted, it was a tarantula as big as your hand, but it was way up in the rafters and wasn’t concerned with us. Big deal, it’s just a bug.
I’ll catch and release her for you Nate! Of course there is an alternative, becoming friends. I had a false black widow for almost 3 years, best roommate ever!
If Nate helps butterflies flitter away unscathed, I can only expect him not to squish spiders. But Nate is thinking while standing on that chair that butterflies don’t have fangs, or bite (even when threatened), nor are they venomous.
I was showering once when I noticed a white spider had dropped down and was spreading it’s legs, I guess it liked the steam. I watched it for a while before thumping it. It crawled back up to the top and scampered away. I saw it several other times and then no more.

“Nate wouldn’t hurt me”, said the spider to the fly.
“Me neither”, said the fly. “What a guy!”
Good morning, crew!

My wife appointed me Spider Control Officer at home. I zap or squash bugs, but not spiders — catch and release outdoors only.

Try as I might, I can’t reconcile Buddhism with piracy.

I like spiders (and bats), they eat the other bugs (I don’t like).

Try a cup and a stiff piece of paper. Though, since they’re on a ship, putting it outside would mean into the ocean …

Have we finally found Nate’s Kryptonite? Or does he just have a tender heart for arachnids, like he does for almost everything / everyone else?
Good Evening, Crew.
