I have a sour cherry tree that usually gives maybe 50-60 cherries each year. This year I got thousands. Literally. Every day I picked up 1-200 for 3 weeks. Delicious, but hard on my back to gather. I haven’t looked for 2 days because it’s been raining. I’m hoping the rest have fallen and the neighborhood bunny has finished them off!

Massive pollution has consequences. Sciences and human nature are behind this, now we are expecting science to save us without changing our nature.

One doesn’t reward a plant for mauling one’s hat.

There have been a larger than normal number of news articles about invasive species of both plants and animals across the country. My daughter told me they are starting to get used to seeing armadillos up in her part of Kansas now as the frost line continues to move north and growing region designations are changing as well.

Let’s hope it’s just a hat eating plant. It does give some new meaning to kite eating tree.

My initial thought was somehow Arlo was behind this. However, maybe the plant knows who he gets his watering from and was saving Janis from a bee in her bonnet!

Is watering supposed to be a punishment for a plant?

We used to have a bunch of less aggressive pitcher plants behind my house. Low nitrogen soil.
