Explanation, please.

They are like some other couples I know…, Polar opposites.

Can we consider them Bi-Polar?

We are all scratching our heads. When this many commenters are clueless, maybe you’ve crossed over into extreme esoterica.

Comics featuring Polar Bears & Penguins together will almost always get a disparaging comment like: “polar bears and penguins live at opposite poles and never meet”. These comments come from “sticklers for accuracy”, or just sticklers. So the stickers are going to go crazy when the polar bear comes out with a penguin.

Seems pretty black and white to me.

Of course, a stickler would never say “blow your minds,” because that is either inaccurate or undefined. A stickler might say “amaze” or something (yawn!) similar.

A cave man and a dinosaur might have worked better.

Y’all lost me…

Yeah! And what about Tennessee Tuxedo and Chumley? Huh?

I’m not a stickler but I still say dinosaurs should not have been in the movie 1 Million Years BC

Since the National Sticklers Association is probably not located at either pole, it’s a good bet that both of the evening’s honored guests were flown in at enormous expense. Make sure you’ve paid your dues, ladies and gentlemen.

They aren’t being introduced as coming from the same place so while the ‘opposite poles’ explanation may have been the intent here, the fact that they will be the next SPEAKERS is more stickleresque!

This also applies to T. Rex with more than two fingers!

You shouldn’t have to work this hard to get to a punchline.
