It’s comments like that from my father, my bullies, and my teachers that seriously screwed me up as a child. If it weren’t for them, I wouldn’t be enjoying the anxiety, depression, obesity, OCD, PTSD, low self-esteem, and poor self-image issues from which I suffer every day. Who knows how much happier I could have been and how much further I could have gotten in life if they had simply left me alone?
I would love a fan fiction cartoon in which a retired pro takes an interest in Charlie Brown’s love for the game, coaches him into a first class pitcher, and then helps him get into the big leagues. Even better if Charlie got to be hall of fame material. Then he could retire himself and become an announcer or analyst.
There actually was a Charlie Brown who pitched in the big leagues – four games for the now-defunct Cleveland Spiders in 1897. He had a career ERA+ of 61 and a WHIP of 1.932.

But … would he really still be Charlie Brown?

Literally a one in a million makes it to pro sports but a kid can dream.

We’ve seen your pitching, Charlie Brown. Pick another position or pick another sport. (And stay away from anything involving kicking footballs, too.)

Poor Chuck… a kid can dream at least, can’t he. :j

With around 1100 pro baseball players in the USA, MLB, it takes darned good luck to get to be a player

Someday he might win a second game and do it without the forfeit which is how he got his lonely win.
