I recently had a group of 6-8 cyclists start to cut through a construction area where I was doing inspections. I politely pointed them toward the proper path and asked them to follow the large orange “DETOUR” signs. The look some of them gave me practically screamed – “This mere pedestrian is trying to tell us where we can ride? The nerve of him.”
I just finished reading a very good novel called “Gold”. Written by Chris Cleave. It’s about 3 Olympic cyclists. Based on the diet they followed in the book…no thanks. Mostly whole grains, fruits, vegs. Very little meat . Lot of protein drinks.
I hope they debate Kamala the Ugandan Headhunter. ❤️ed all the poses and posturing (esp the hand under the chin and extended elbow like it was leaning on something and there was nothing there) and using so many rehearsed memorized words to say nothing. God Bless America!
This is the most important election we have ever had! If you vote for the wrong candidate, it’s the end! THE END, I tell you! So, for goodness sakes, don’t vote for the wrong candidate! If you do vote for the wrong candidate then, KABLOOEY! Be sure to vote for the other candidate rather than the wrong candidate! This is your last warning! The whole world is depending on you!
Democracy is never mentioned in the Constitution, and the only time “republic” is referenced is in the following form: “The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government.” Even though the U.S. is a republic, the process of electing representatives in this republic relies on democratic means.
We definitely need to re-work our cities to allow for more foot and bicycle traffic, but the caricature of cyclists in this comic can’t be denied, either….
Hey Pastis, lay off the cyclists. They don’t burn gas and are generally good people, except for a few as*h*les. We have to deal with drivers on cell phones or just bad attitudes, without 2 tons of steel to protect us.

This Supreme Court? Rule on legality? The gop appointed “judges” are ruling on what corps and the rich want, not what’s in the Constitution.

We have a Congress that passes nothing, a corrupt Supreme Court and a Constitution that’s headed for the shredder! Pedal away!

What “wisdom” are the cyclists pedaling now? (I know enough to give them a wide berth on the road)!

Not every cyclist is like this, you know. Some people just use a bicycle because it’s the most efficient and cheapest way of transport.
