I’m so ancient! I saw the very first episode of the original Star Trek the first time it aired. (I also saw the first episode of Next Gen, Deep Space 9, and Voyager.)

I recall when TNG was first introduced and ST fans got their first look at Captain Picard, the joke was “To BALDLY go…”

The subway station before mine is Newkirk Avenue. When TNG began, a friend started calling it Picard because that was the newKirk.
