Janis sounds like my wife. “I’m going to start a load. Do want anything washed?”

Janis feels like she’s fighting hard to talk herself out of the big move.

This is pure Janis….

To move or not to move? ……..With all the stress this has caused, they should realize it’s not a good choice. Stay where you are and live out your lives enjoying what you have.

Mine too. But starts at 9pm.

They seem happy back at home!

Arlo has the ability to forget about a problem and let his subconscious work on it. Lucky guy!

….. and we’re still both wearing what we changed into this morning …….she really isn’t into frugality!

Janis is feeling way too much stress…

Like Arlo, She walks in the door and thinks that’s it. I, more like Janis, am not home until everything is unpacked and put away (though it has to be a lot of travel laundry for me to need to go beyond throwing it into the basket).

I think Janis wants to get back to normalcy…..

she can’t stand that he can relax, while she is stressed out

Some people just can’t relax

And that is the laundry in question.

I used to put my dirty clothes in the washing machine and when it looked like it was about full, I would wash a load.

Then I would dry the load. And whenever I needed something to wear, I would pull it out of the dryer. So my clothes spent all their time either on me or in the washing machine or in the dryer.

Arlo sounds like he is happy to be home and perhaps Janis is disturbed by that.

Why is Janis upset in panel 2? She seems disturbed that Arlo is happy and relaxed. I don’t understand her at all most of the time. She is a totally different type of female than I am.

Only changed once? Must have been more than a a little gamy!

I do 2 loads of laundry a week. Clothes, and Not Clothes.

Did anyone else notice there was no conversation between Janis and Mary Lou featured? Only Gene and Arlo. I thought sure JJ would have some heartfelt pleading by Mary Lou and Meg, or some guilt, none of which I wanted to read.

I’m envious that they still seem to have warm weather! Late September, it’s been cool and raining here on the coast in the Pacific Northwest.

It’s true. He wore a green shirt once, and she was in green and then pink/purple-ish.
