Maybe you should switch from hensfruit to cackleberries.

More nests to visit. Probably bird equivalent of traveling salesman of early years.

Most species of birds will take turns, to share the incubation job, so they both have time to go feed themselves. I know, this doesn’t have to be realistic . . . It’s a comic. Hahaha!

Sad situation being anthropomorphic.

Like a hummingbird, the males have one purpose. To impregnate as many females as he can attract. The female does everything else from building the nest to tending to the eggs and chicks.

Cue Aerosmith “Sweet Emotion”:

No, as soon as he fertilized the egg, he was off.

He didn’t do a very good job with the nest either.

at least with honeybees, the drones hang around the hive so they can still get three squares a day… (smart… lol!)
