So the golf ball is actually white.

Poor Louie. Just two days ago Louie was looking for an orange colored golf ball in the leaves.

So – remind me again what the penalty is for getting your dog to improve your lie?

(In my teens, I used to play at a course that had a public path all along one side of the first hole, which was a long, straight par 5. You didn’t get many of them, but people DID walk dogs along it. The club had a rule called “casual dog” – if a passing dog decided to make off with your ball, you could play it from where the dog finally dropped it, or from where it was when the dog made off with it.)

I wonder what would happen if a person in the gallery actually threw the ball back out in the fairway after getting hit by a wayward drive during a PGA tournament?

Few of us are fluent in golfspeak. All I heard on the course was some serious cursing. (No, I didn’t golf- I was netting lost balls for resale.
