I had thought at first that the brother was drunk when he rushed in, but now it seems like he and rosemary have been canoodling around. Rosemary is strikingly beautiful, with a very distinct, almost “breathless” appearance to her..I’m liking this one gentlemen…the crime committed in the first offering and now characters being introduced almost every day…and very INTERESTING characters with great “style”… very impressive so far
The second panel seems disjointed because every character seems posed for effect rather than the situation. It is as if the characters and their poses were drawn separately and pasted together to create the panel rather than the panel drawn as a cohesive whole. They are not the proper sizes in relation with each other. Ms. Scarborough has an unusual body shape and figure. Sam seems to be walking somewhere. The dead guy looks out of perspective. Tracy’s pose and bold-faced exclamation seems overly reactive with a large overcoat and a small head. The characters do not seem to be relating to each other and the entire panel seems poorly composed.
P-3, however, gives us an excellent Tracy profile, but what is with the brim of Sam’s hat?
In fact, everything about the strip today, writing included, seems rushed and abrupt. Still, this is one of the most intriguing MMs we have had and a cut above our regular diet of them and I appreciate the Gouldish impression the entire series projects.
I can’t get used to Smirky Sam with his inappropriate gestures and wisecrack Comments. I prefer the slow witted, ever hungry Sam that Mike has nurtured lo these many years gone by.
Essence du Deli. Just a touch of sauerkraut underlying the stench of meat that’s well past its expiration date and spritz of celery tonic. So VERY inexpensive."
VERY OT: A good day for writing. I took the plotline of Book Four and turned it around by adding a new characters and subplot which SHOULD have thrown the project off the rails, Instead, it opened the narrative to coverage of an existing planned minor character, set up and resolved a major conflict, and completely shuffled the character deck. Not a bad day.

Good morning™, all!
She has the same perfume smell as her brother-in-law. Seems suspicious.

And Tracy’s trench coat grew three sizes that day.

I have the feeling Jay Scarborough was dead to Rosemary long before any shots were fired.

Very 1940’s style. (I’m no expert).

She certainly is calm for someone viewing the scene of a violent death, along with being well dressed for the occasion.

She’d better not be in a rainstorm, she’d drown.

Notice how Tracy evades Rosemary’s question by calling out her name. Very suspicious.

Can we all agree to call a moratorium on the Scarborough Fair song references? I’m beginning to dislike that song even more than I did before!

How silly.
Are “They” afraid of some competition?
