Another song that was made up on the spot, Richie Havens was the first act at Woodstock. Since the next act hadn’t arrived yet, they asked him to stall. So he just kept singing “Freedom” over and over.
A man goes on vacation to Israel with his wife and his stepmother.
While in Israel, his stepmother died at the hotel.
The people there told him:
“Sir, if you want to bury her back in the United States, it’s going to cost you $5,000 to bring back her corpse. But since she died at the hotel, we can do the funeral here in Israel for free.”
The man immediately refused and said he would pay the $5,000 fee to do the funeral back home.
When in the USA, his wife came up to him and said:
“I really love what you just did for my mom. That proves to me that you actually loved my mother and you respected her.”
He replied, “Babe, are you crazy?! Those Israelis are the same people who buried Jesus and three days later he came back to life. I’m not about to take that risk with your mother.”
On my very first job as engineer they assigned a technician to me. A 6 foot 5 inch 20 year old ‘kid’. He had an 8-track player. (Yeah, that was long ago). He rode a motorcycle. Dave played “American Women” over and over in the lab all day. It was intimidating since I was a real nerd but once we started a project he took on more and more technical tasks. Of course “American Woman” finally stopped…………and he switched to “Going Up To The Spirits in the Sky”
“Fewest” vacations, not “least” vacations. Even the report from which this is derived uses the term “fewest” shown as follows:
Expedia released its 24th annual Vacation Deprivation Report, which once again shows that Americans need to shift their thinking about taking all those unused vacation days that they’ve so rightfully earned.
According to the report, more than half (53 percent) of Americans said they do not plan on using all their time off this year “despite receiving just 12 days off annually,” which the report states is “the fewest of any country surveyed.”
Yes, because American businesses are NOT required by law to provide paid vacations to their employees. As for the rest of us, well, we simply can’t afford to (my last paid vacation was in 1992).

I assume that picture isn’t the $500,00 dime. It’s a 1975 dime.

No surprise about the vacations. Most Americans can’t afford to go anywhere. The billionaires have all the money.

With three quarters of the population, working two jobs to get by, little timeis left for vacation. Gotta love hyper capitalism.
