I literally did that with a Christmas Cactus last week. Finally realized I gave it so much water it rotted. Sigh….

I’m not at all interested in spending the rest of an uncomfortable useless life plugged in to life support.

I don’t know – I’ve kept watering some dead looking plants and had them come back to life.

Opal is rooting for the ailing plant.

They never age, so he won’t need medical treatment. Nelson should be in college by now.

Earl, you do realize Opal also waters the artificial flowers as well!?! She is so proud of how they look.

The two best ways to kill a house plant: (1) Not enough water and (2) Too much water.

We forgot to water our little cactus too long, and it tipped over dead in the ceramic pot when I bumped it with the watering can.

Trust me Earl, if you are ever on life support Opal with be the FIRST to pull the plug, unless here sister gets there ahead of her.

Ummm don’t be too sure of that, Earl.

Or she’ll make sure Earl is well watered

I had a plant like that outside on a corner with the decorative rocks and pea gravel. One day I wrapped it in a garbage bag and put it out with trash. Now the corner looks empty, I’m thinking Rock Garden – Death Proof.

I wouldn’t count on that. That plant doesn’t have life insurance.

For people joking about taking someone off life support, that is just downright rude. Have you ever had to be the one to make that decision and actually have it done? We had to do it with my sister a year ago and it was very hard and sad to lose her that way. She had a DPA stating she didn’t want to be kept on life support if there was no chance of recovery and with her being in a coma for 2 1/2 weeks the doctor said that she most likely would never wake up and if she did she would need to be on life support and feeding tube rest of her life and we said no, she doesn’t want that. She lived for 27 hours offf life support. Saturday 23rd was the one year since she passed.
