In another couple of years, Amazon drone … Amazon drone … Amazon drone.

What about Ubers?

Who’s even still watching the world from their window. Most people are looking at their phone or computer.

You left out the people on Nextdoor reporting that a person in a strange truck who looks weird drove by and looked at our house in a funny way.

At least the Amazon guy, the postman, and the UPS guy each carry my package onto my porch and leave it by my door. The FedEx guy stands out on the sidewalk and lobs it in the general direction of my porch, usually leaving it where the sprinklers will soak it.

My window looks out on the back yard. ’Course we do live at the end of a Y-shaped cul de sac … and most of the vehicles we see are to the neighbors. The ones that enter our drive are indeed mostly service or delivery folks.

Sometimes I look out the window and watch the delivery person give my package to the neighbor!

We haven’t been in a retail establishment since December’21. Treat your drivers well.

No UPS or mailman ?

And Amazon and Google continue to be gargantuan monopolies that even Democratic administrations haven’t dared to apply the nation’s anti-trust laws to. What do you suppose are chances a Republican administration will take on the task?

Is this real? I don’t think I’ve ever seen that many Amazon trucks in one day.

Fed Ex guy is left out because he delivers to the wrong address.

I always shop at local stores, if possible. But they seem to have responded to Amazon by reducing their inventory, which makes no sense at all.

I have had to redelivered a few UPS packages because they weren’t mine.

Sorry, Rat, but it’s a blended world outside my window. Plenty of neighbours (many walking dogs) alongside the invasion of delivery trucks.

You know whats really sad? I always hated shopping. Now Im so lazy I hate even shopping online

Almost all the houses in my neighborhood are 50-60 years old so neighborhood watch consists of watching the trades trucks create non-navigable mazes in the streets every day.

There goes Neighbor Bob’s order…. There goes Neighbor Nancy’s order…. There goes Neighbor Fred’s order…. There goes Neighbor Eleanor’s order….

We are on a cul-de-sac, so nobody goes by. We don’t have any windows downstairs that you can see the street from anyway.

I can’t watch the world from my window on account of I live in an apartment with a view of the building’s pool.

And then watch as they leave the packages out in the open where any porch pirate can see it, despite a sign specifically asking to please leave all packages inside the enclosed vestibule area, out of the rain and away from thieves!

Just a sad comment on modern life. I refuse to live that way.

I have a delightful view of our parking lot from my living room window. I can see everyone coming and going.

Don’t forget all the random food delivery services.

so why is there so much EFFing traffic besides Amazon, etc., out there?

It’s hard to tell one black SUV from another.

And if I don’t see them from my window, I can always watch the footage on my Ring camera app

It’s good for the environment. One truck trip versus dozens of car trips.

The pets seem to be the only ones checking neighborhood traffic, these days.

Amazon deliver pizza?

This may just be me but I don’t think sitting at the window people-watching the neighbors would have been as the first panel describes twenty years ago, either. Maybe thirty or forty.

I leave the house for more than just work. Am I a sucker?

You said it. But going back to my 1940s days it was the milk-man truck, the ice-man truck, and the coal-man truck. Once the milk truck ended up on the bottom of our south bluff of lake Monona where “Sittin’ On The Dock of the Bay,” singer Otis Redding died a couple decades later. We drank all the chocolate milk we could hold.

hmm… never had an amazon delivery truck in my parts… just PO, UPS, and FedEx…

the Amazon truck might as well just have a parking spot in front of our house.. my hubby has a serious shopping problem

after 2 SWATs (wrong address both times), i installed a CCTV system, called and told their dispatch to also notify NPD. haven’t been cops in the area for decades, now.

and Eleanor Rigby is so lonely nowadays…

My neighbors and I watch the trackers and frequently meet at the trucks so he can just sort of deliver to more than one person (his truck must be near the address where he delivers) Gives us a chance to catch up each other’s news.

And don’t forget Big Brown, UPS!

I keep calling Amazon Delivery but they haven’t brought me Wonder Woman yet

I live in a teeny town, and see lots of people walking their dogs. Plus Amazon and Fedex trucks.

And UPS

And the world is passing them by……..bye!

The digital media age. Why go anywhere you can shop from a chair in this remote society. Great White.

Who affords Fedex?

The neighbors all leave by 5 or 6 AM to get to work.

I still leave my front door unlocked if I run to the store.

And the fella from DHL…and UPS…

And the Uber eats cars
