He’s starting with telephone poles and will work up to catching cars.

I hate it when a dog gets stuck up a pole… wait… what?

Obviously the dog’s pose is no surprise for her.

I just heard about somebody who drove out into the countryside and dropped off a dog he didn’t want. DON’T DO THAT!

You see these “Lost pets” on FB all the time. I say, they’re not lost but runaways

Good thing they aren’t in a forest where he can climb a tree

This happens more often with a cat in a tree. I once took Vivekat for a walk in the redwoods in Santa Cruz’ Cowell Park, where dogs are not permitted. She was happy as a kid at Disneyland for half an hour but then went into sensory overload and climbed a tree – a redwood tree. After half an hour of coaxing, I went back to my car and returned with a rope and a backpack. I knotted the rope, climbed up and stuffed her in the backpack. She offered no resistance.

A half hour later, we were back home and she was fine.

I was sore for a week.

It is a very aggressive squirrel that chased him up the pole. He is low enough for her to grab, so there should not be a problem.

Just wrap the leash around the mutt and pole three or four times and walk away.

A pole hugger, since there were no trees.
