Husband set up several autopays and when dementia crept in, he couldn’t remember what they were for. Had to close the bank account to stop them.

I have a list of all bills that my wife and I have, both mail and autopay. Ever since we got married. I have one magazine I am about to go to war with for not cancelling.

I’ve never liked the idea of auto pay. I don’t trust any entity “automatically” pulling money out of my wallet each month. I’ve always declined any such invitation to partake of such a convenience.

I have very few autopays. Ironically, my GoComis premium subscription is autopay, however, lol!

I knew the world was in trouble when I heard ads for services that do this for you.

Sometimes, new ones come in.

Most of my automatic debits are for utilities, so I kind of need to keep paying those!

Just be careful they aren’t for life insurance :)

When it comes to finance memories are short…

I’ve been trying to get rid of one for several months. Their phone has a message to send them an e-mail. Of course that does no good. I’m thinking I’m going to have to cancel the credit card just to get rid of them.

That’s why I don’t have automatic debits.

I have a few of the consistent bills on auto. The once a year types I have listed in ‘reminders’ in my phone set to pop up a few days ahead of payment. But with trust issues I also check my bank and ccard balances online every few days.

My wife always tells me that we can just put our bills on automatic debit. I say no; I want to feel the pain of that money going out every month; it keeps it real and encourages frugality.

There’s an app for that. It likely costs though.

That’s why I don’t do automatic debits.

Did Janis give up on the gray and have her hair dyed brown?

With all the streaming services, old subscriptions and just forgot, that could end up being a few bucks.

Does this comic represent an average consumer? It’s unfathomable to me that someone would pay a bill not knowing what it is for.
