    I once crossed a bridge that had a sign about the weight limit in the middle of the bridge. Fortunately, we made it (we were far under the weight limit), but I couldn’t help but think that it was a bit late to post the limit when you’re half-way across.

    Where I grew up there was an old covered bridge. I wanted to go back and see it again, but some moron in a cement truck tried crossing it and fell through. It did not get rebuilt.
