A question to readers: what is your favourite piece of classical music? Mine is Tales From The Vienna Woods by Johann Strauss (sorry, Schroeder).

A Google search shows that he was born in December, but no date is given. Wikipedia says he was baptized on Dec. 17.

We were married on Beetovens Birthday so it makes a good reminder for me lest I forget.

It is also a day to not only stand and pay tribute to Ludwig Van, but The❤️Count, too. And, yes, give Our Be❤️ed Count presents, too. Dinner at 6:00 with The Countess at The Precinct… Jeff Ruby’s restaurant, just to make that perfectly clear. Eat your ❤️s out while The Count eats filet and creme brûlée for dessert, boy howdy. Happy Count’s Birthday and God Bless Us, Every One. God Bless America!

Do you really have feelings for Schroder, Lucy, or are you just trawling for presents (not to mention attention)?

I remember another Beethoven’s birthday strip where Snoopy informed Woodstock that Beethoven wasn’t a bird.

When an orchestra does a Beethoven piece, they should follow it up with something by Wagner, just to wake up the brass section.

Published a day early if wikipedia is to be believed. My guess is that’s because it was originally published in a year with no leap day (1977)
