Right now, I can’t believe the grandkids aren’t up yet this morning!

This is why convicts were shot at sunrise. Who wants to be alive at that hour?

Once again, Jef and Frazz did not disappoint on this Yule5, 25 December, a/k/a xMas. Whatever your HOLIDAY, I wish it to be a happy one. Oodles of peace and joy to you and yours :-D. p.s. On my outing, starting before civil twilight this morning (pre-dawn), I will be missing snow for the same reason Frazz states. I will also miss being able to run like Frazz, but I am out there doing what I can.

Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah! I will wait until after dawn for my run, though :)

Except Labrador Retriever owners, we’re up. Hopefully they picked up after their puppies.

It’s X-mas – everyone in a house with kids is up that early…

I was up that early, letting the dough rise for the Christmas doughnuts. I was not out on the roads. And isn’t dawn in Detroit at 7:59 today?

What about the Bears?

I bet my kids were up earlier when they were little.

I’m sure it’s just me, but I’d much prefer that that last stanza be spoken (thought?) by an onlooker. It’s funnier (to me) that someone might be teasing Frazz for being up and out at that hour. When he says/thinks it, it comes off as self-aggrandizing. As in, “Yeah, allthe other lazy boobs in this burg are in bed. Me, I’m doing something special.”

I sure don’t miss getting up at 3:30 am and going to my 5 am shift. I loved the job though.

I never get up that early but I occasionally stay up that late.

I would rewrite the second line as “Is, for what it’s worth, the best one.”
