Because then there would be a gap in the sequence and people would complain about missing a strip or two. Complainers gonna complain, no matter what.

Bummer. Remember a whopping two days ago, when the strip was missing? We went to Yahoo Comics ( http://news.yahoo.com/comics/bloom-county-slideshow/ ) and they had something? I was hoping they would have anything today. Unfortunately, they have the same “AARGH” message. Oh well.
